YUCKY!!! :)

So for the past 2 years my acne has gotten worse. I have the most OILY/DRY face of life! I break out like none other. Its extremely bad on my forehead seeing as that's the most greasy part of me. And recently I've been getting pimples on my cheeks. Its not too bad but I didn't think I'd get them there since that part of my face is dry. I've been looking for ways on how to clear it up but not pay a whole lot of money. I've tried St. ives, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, Spectro gel, Clearsal. And NOTHING worked!!! My face isn't THAT bad anymore. I have uneven skin and scaring on my fore head and around my chin/mouth.

BUT before I go and try proactive and AcneFree, I am going to try Garnier Skin Naturals Pure. It's Anti-shine and for oily to combinations skin.

My Mom bought me the 3-in-1 Wash+Scrub+Mask and the Toner that tightens pores. It has Clay and Zinc in it.

The face wash eliminates excess sebum. The scrub unclogs pores. The face mask evens out skin tone. Face wash/ scrub can be used every day, but when you use it as a mask, you use it 2-3 times a week.

SO what exactly does the 3-in-1 do? It says it "mattifies skin, unclogs pores, and evens out skin tone for clearer skin that lasts up to 3 days"

Well see…

As for the Toner

It Tightens pores, is an anti-shine, with purifying agent+Zinc.

It says it "tightens pores, cleanses oily skin, and evens the complexion." It also has Eucalyptus extracts that gives you the feeling of fresh and purified skin.

Now when buying something for your face, you shouldn't expect it to work in a day or two, even though it says it will work in as little as 3 days! Give it a month to really see the difference. So as I go through the next month I will be updating you on my process. Hopefully by the time grad picture comes around (middle of next month) my face will be decent. I hope it will stay clear and shine less. I hate having to wear make up, even when its non-cosmodegenic make up, my face breaks out. Soo hopefully no shine powders anymore. I also have redness, so im hoping that gets better.

What have you tried and has it worked??

School!!!

Sooo, I’m barely passing math…that’s really not a surprise. I did two test this week. One was a test i missed and i did a make up exam for one i failed horribly. I passed both so my mark went up from a 43% to a 54%. Ughhh math can go suck it! Next semester isn’t going to be any easier because i have Bio and Chem in the same semester! That’s going to be horrible. BUT! We have earned options!!! We get a certain amount of missed days, late assignments, lates to class and if we go over one of those we loose the option to not do our end of the semester exam…which i really need! But even if we have both for each class, we can only choose one. If i do good, I’m using it for chem..cause I suck at it! I’ve learned that if i want to do good, i’m going to have to try. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

Español!! I LOVE spanish class!!! I just got 15/15 on my spanish recipe. We had to take a recipe in english and translate it into spanish. And i have a 93 in that class. it’s probably the only class I’ve had an A in every single year. Only because it’s something i want to learn and once again I LOVE IT!!!

I hope the end of this semester goes well, so i will have to study for the next i’d say 3-4 week. Im going to be real busy! haha :) I dont mind..

Any ways for anyone who is in school, DO TRY YOUR BEST!!! Because once your near the end you’ll regret never doing everything you were supposed to. You can only go through highschool once. So DONT FUCK IT UP! :D

WOW!

So, obviously i haven't posted a blog in awhile, which is probably why no one reads this...haha WOW! Any ways...I GOT MY LICENSE!!! YAY for me! It's kind of surprising..the guy wanted to fail me but found it deep in his heart not too =).
It was my second try so i was very happy about that!!
Umm...I got 129 out of 120 on my spanish test!! thank God for bonus marks ehh? I still would have passed if i didnt get them. Im pretty much the smartest kid in that class and i act as a walking dictionary for them...hmmm only if they payed attention and studied they'd do good...and then they wouldnt have to cheat on tests....Just saying!
Im still horrible at math...not like I'll ever get better at it..
Im filling out my application for massage school and trying to find a way to pay for it. Hopefully i get in right when im done highschool or im going to have to go to college right away. My dad doesnt like the whole touching other people for money, but atleast i get to keep my clothes on and help people in the process.
Hmmm...what else.
Seems like almost every teenage girl i know is getting pregnant! Now dont get me wrong, I dont judge people for having sex at what ever age they think is right for them, but i do think that there are many ways to prevent a baby and people should use them! Condoms and birth control would probably work better if used together. And knowing how to use them would deffinetly work better. Taking care of a baby isnt easy, i wouldnt know but i see many girls and guys go through it everyday. It may seem all rainbows and cupcakes at the start but it doesnt last. I love children and how them just smiling at you makes your heart melt just a little, but what happens when they throw a tantrum and you dont know how to handle it? Or when they get extremely sick and you're stuck watching them and having to miss work for it. You cant always call your mommy to come and help you. What about daycare and babysitters? If you didnt finish highschool, you cant necessarily get the best paying job, so money is extremely hard to come by. I just hope people make the best decisions for themselves and learn how to use protection, not only to prevent those cute little kids while many people are still kids themselves but also agains STI's. birth control DOES NOT protect against sti's and condoms arent always effective, so be wise and know who you sleep with (dont sleep with just anyone, it's quite scary and you never know what someone might have).
It's almost chrismas break which means party time, so dont be silly and wrap your willy! (Do they make condoms that look like wrapped presents? that'd be cool haha)
Have a FUN life and make everyday worth living!

Religion Project

Hola!!! Long time not blog….
So I’ve been totally stressing. Why you may ask? Because of school. Math c30 is totally winning in the game of me ever passing the class. And my English project is proving to be more work than I thought I could handle. We read a book called Life of Pi. Its main purpose I guess, from the author, was that it will make you believe in God. Personally I did not like the book at all, but for those of you who like books that make you wonder about religion, you should read it. So from that book came our English project. Now my school isn’t catholic, it’s a regular public school, but my teachers a free willy and open minded. Which isn’t a bad thing, because I am too. So there are like 9 groups and each group has to chose a religion to do a powerpoint on. There’s Unitarian, Judaism, B’hai, sik’hism, Buddism, Hinduism, Native American, Islam, Muslim and lastly Christianity. Now we all had to go to church or some kind of social function for the group we chose. We also needed to do an interview with a person on their choice of their religion. My group chose Christianity since no one else wanted to. I started going to church when I was like 3 and stopped a few years ago. Jesus and all that other stuff has never interested me but I know how people feel about their religion and how devoted they are, that I’ve learned to give them respect. I feel pressured though to choose something to believe in. its like I cant have an opinion of my own and I have to believe in something or forever be a “sinner”. But what truly makes someone a sinner? Ive met lots of people who have never done anything wrong I life but are very religious in any way. Are they going to be kept out of “heaven” because they didn’t believe, even though they havent done anything wrong. Is it really wrong to love someone so much that you choose to have sex with them even though they’re not married? And what happens for those who don’t get married but stay together for a life time? Is staying with someone you love and not get married to them not enough to get through to so called gates of heaven? I think theres too many rules to live by in order to get into a place that no one can truly prove exists. There is no room for error in a persons life and if there is one made you have to ask for forgiveness. How is a person supposed to learn if they cant make mistakes. Now theres a saying “whats the difference between a fool and a wiseman? A fool learns by their mistakes, a wiseman learns by others mistakes.” Now supposed if everyone followed the ways of the bible or any other religion out there, how would we learn anything. You cant expect to have life lessons with out someone making an example. I’m definitely one to make my own decisions on things and I don’t apologize for anything I do. I don’t like to be forced into believing in things either. But im not going to make someone feel bad for trying to have faith in something.
So how do people deal with the feeling that they have to believe in God or be punished for not doing so? Are there people out there who “believe” in a faith but secretly don’t want to? How does one feel about spirituality anyway? I’m very curious how some people deal with all of this…

Stress!

I and my plan to blog have failed! Horribly! Um, I just finished my 1 page answer a guess to a topic from a movie I watched in my psych class called Awakenings. It's my second time watching it and its not as good the second time around, even though my teacher said it would be. Liar much! Anyways, schools already getting to me. I failed my first math test soooooo bad! I got a 34%. We can do make up tests, so im hoping that I do waaaaayyy better the second time around. Math is a class that's is extremely hard to pay attention in and my teacher just sucks. Hmm, my plan on handing everything in, well im doing somewhat good on that. I put it off until the last minute, BUT it gets handed in on the due date. Lets hope I keep it up, just not wait till the last hour and stay up all night like I most likely will do tonight. I have to study for psych cause theres a test tomorrow, and finish a bunch of questions for that class. Ughh im just really not liking school too much. My priorities are like way off right now. Tutoring is going good tho. I look forward to it. Helping someone is a really good feeling, and even tho I'd rather be paid to tutor, im fine with volunteering. If I can make someone happy and better at what they need help with, im fine with that. I still need a job! Im running out of money! D=. my drivers test is scheduled for the end of October. That's to far away for me, but I might live. Im in the process of making arrangements to visit a massage school for a day and sit in on classes. As well for a beauty school, im kind of hoping to spend a day at one to see how it would be. Im looking for the whole spa career! Haha. Ohhh how I hope to blog more and share my new found wisdom and life lessons with whom ever would like it. This is kind of a way to release my stress, and let more come in and ruin me. Haha.

Im going to finish my studying/homework, and I hope everyone has a good night.

Buenas noches,

School

Helloooo!! So I really really dislike school. Its extremely boring and I feel like I'm learning nothing. You can't learn what you don't like, right? Ugh I dunno. Its spare time right now. Period 4 and no ones around. Well there are people but they're little kids. Ahhh! I should really do my math work. But I suck at math! Grrr. MATH!

A tiresome Sunday

Its labor day weekend, so no school tomorrow. Yay!!! =) its been really busy lately. I'm definitely looking for a job, which is kinda hard, only because I don't have my license. So where the job is, is kind of important. I bus it daily!...yeah environmental all the way, save the earth!!
I actually might look for jobs tomorrow and all week.
I worked for a tax agency over the summer. Was EXTREMELY boring! NEVER again, not my kinda job. But now I'm broke and need money!
I need ideas and how teens feel about their jobs. Like working in fastfood places and what not.
But I'm super tired, I'm going to bed.

Love,
Tanis <3

very mini haul!!

I decided to go shopping on my spare friday. i have a spare right after lunch, so if i had a car i'd totally go home and sleep for 2 hours!! but i dont haha, i would also need my license (damn parallel parking!!!)

anywho, the first place i went was Shoppers Drugmart.

I have an extreamly oily complextion, and this horrid heat is not help to it...

so i bought...

It's Benefits Get Even in number 3, which is a darker brown color.
its used to blot away shine and discoloration. It also comes in #1, a light color, and #2 a medium tone.
...I think i works amazingly!!! i tried it at the store and right away the shine was GONE!!! but id make sure to use blotting tissues first so you dont contaminate your powder. Redness was also reduced. =) it comes with a sponge but i dont use sponges only cause it holds bacteria and of course you cant clean them, so use a face brush.
...The cost, for me, was pretty high. only cause im not use to buying expensive products, BUT drugstore blotting powders left me pale looking and did nothing for me, so this was a good choice.
it was $32, and i think well worth it. (i also loooooovvveee the mirror on it cause its big!!)
...the con tho....is it smudges!!!! like if you put it on, and then go outside, and you get a little sweaty and wipe your face off, the powder comes off. so you'll definetly need something to set it.
i personally think it'd be good for more cooler seasons, like fall or winter. only cause i do get kind of oily but its nothing compared to the summer, so it probably wouldnt really smudge.

Next i bought...

It's from the Shoppers brush/makeup like Quo.Its a retractable brush, which i really needed for my purse. its quite soft, which i like. It was 40% off, i think i came to like 12 something.
Then they gave me mini samples of Benefits perfume line... and OMG they smell AMAZING!!!

The one in the white is Laugh with me Lee Lee, which is like a musky scent, and the black one is My Place or Yours Gina.
These are the actual bottles. they looook sooo nice!! the whole martini shaker things is pretty cool. the bottles i find are kinda of small tho. but well worth it. i didnt get a look at the price, but the way they smell, would definitly be worth it no matter the price.
all three products are from Shoppers Drugmart, i dont think they sell them anywhere else since its the only place i see them. But GO THERE AND TRY THEM!!

then i went to Dollarama... and got hand lotion!!! MY FAVORITE. its called Keri. its only a dollar and its a pretty big bottle tube thing. it really moisturizes the hands, which i really need cause no matter what my hands are alway dry, so it does the job.!!!!
Then i went to the MAC counter in the mall downtown.
im a late bloomer when it comes to buying things, only because im really turned off at buying high priced products.
soo this is my FIRST Mac purchase, and i have to admit, i want more!!! but i need a job first!! hahah
Any ways i bought the DazzleGlass lipgloss in Love Alert. and i LOOOOVES it!!!
its really red on the lips and might be a little too much for school, but hey, i love to stand out!!
It came too $23 i do believe, which is a LOT more than id like to spend on a lip gloss but psh i dont care!! =)

Everything i got was well worth it and i recommend everyone to go out and get them!!
(dont mind the lightness of the powder, thats actually the sponge, its really a brown color)
